John Tain, Assistant Curator, Modern & Contemporary Collections, Getty Research Institute, presents a lecture about a selection of works included in Histories of a Vanishing Present: A Prologue

About the Curator.

John Tain is Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Getty Research Institute. He completed his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley, and has been working at the Getty Research Institute for nearly a decade, where he has developed collections related to artists such as Ed Ruscha, Allan Sekula, Faith Wilding, and Tetsumi Kudo. For the Getty Pacific Standard Time initiative, he curated the exhibition Greetings from L.A.: Artists and Publics, 1950–1980.
