A curator-led walkthrough of Where The Sea Remembers.

About the Exhibition Walkthrough.

TMR Executive and Artistic Director César García-Alvarez, and exhibition co-organizer Anna Borisova lead a walkthrough of Where The Sea Remembers. The walkthrough will be organized around the four sections of the exhibition, including media, technology, and the Socialist-oriented economy; intimate mythologies & new histories; displacement and Futurism; and the body, performed.

About the Participants.

Anna Borisova is an art advisor specializing in Chinese Contemporary art. Born in Russia, Borisova spent a decade living in China prior to relocating to Los Angeles where she currently resides. She has a background in Art History, and completed her studies in Economics and International Trade and Art Business at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art. With over 8 years of experience in the international market, Borisova has built art collections for prominent private and corporate clients. She serves as an art advisor and consultant for a variety of international art galleries, artists, and institutions, helping to grow their presence in and out of the Asia market. Borisova helped organize a number of exhibitions at notable galleries, art institutions, and biennials such as Long March Space, Beijing; White Cube, London and Hong Kong; Almine Rech, Paris; Lehmann Maupin, New York; Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; Long Museum, Shanghai; and Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing amongst others. In addition to advising, Anna has been working with several foundations and philanthropists to build thoughtful cross-cultural programs through research, residencies, and a wide-range of educational initiatives.

César García-Alvarez is TMR’s Executive and Artistic Director.
