INTERNSHIPS

Spring Internship

Now accepting resumes for the Spring Internship Program (part-time, 16-24 hours per week, academic credit) with start dates in January, based on school schedule.

The Mistake Room seeks an Art Intern for the space in Los Angeles, CA.  Intern will gain an overview of how an episode moves through a digital post pipeline and the general responsibilities that go along with managing a series in post.  Intern will be assigned to a Post Supervisor and work on their series, helping out on other series as needed.   Specific exposure will depend on assigned Supervisor, but intern will gain knowledge into the post pipeline for both CG and 2D series.  Intern will have the opportunity to attend some post sessions, including picture edits and final mixes; and will be able to follow one complete episode through its process (schedule and intern days permitting).  This internship will be a great opportunity for those looking for a career in Post Production management or to gain further insight into how an animated series moves through post.  Please note the Television division is open to considering students with interests in the artistic animation career path, seeking to gain exposure to the TV animation process.

Required Skills

Must be at least a Junior or Senior BA/BS candidate currently enrolled in a four-year college/university.  Film/Cinema, Communications, Media Studies or related majors preferred.  Candidates should be well organized, highly self-motivated individuals who function well in fast-paced, frenetic production based environments.  Those applying must be confident and proactive with excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) and feel comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.  Knowledge of office management software (Excel, Word, Gmail, etc.) is necessary.  We are not able to sponsor international students in Overhead departments.
