ABOUT THE CURATOR
Magnolia de la Garza is Deputy Director of the Coppel Collection. de la Garza studied Art History at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico, and Museum Studies at the Ecole du Louvre and the Sorbonne in Paris, France. She is a Professor of Cultural Studies at the Universidad del Claustro Sor Juana in Mexico City. From 2009-2013 she was Associate Curator at the Tamayo Museum where she organized a wide range of notable exhibitions and projects with artists Monika Sosnowska, Michael Stevenson, Pia Rönicke, Amalia Pica, Carlos Amorales, and others. She was also the curator of the XVI Bienal de Fotografía del Centro de la Imagen in Mexico. She is a frequent contributor to a host of national and international publications. She currently lives and works in Mexico City.
